Yunho who transformed into the crown prince, manifested his feeling of his first time participating in the musical concert.

During the 'Goong' musical press conference held in Imperial Palace Hotel on 16th afternoon, Yunho said: Although (I) feel pressurized to challenge the musical for the first time, but (for me) more is the anticipation.'

Portrayed as lead actor crown prince Li Shin, Yunho expressed that 'I had seen 'Goong' in both comic and drama series version, this time the theme is in musical version, I want to act it with my own style.'

As for the chance of playing a role in musical, Yunho said like this, 'I will do everything with all my effort. Musical brings dancing, singing, acting three of them together, which can convey all the emotions to the audience through it --- That is its charm. From my point of view, 'Goong' is meaningful, and also a good opportunity for me.'

Apart from that, to the overseas fans who attended this conference, Yunho said warmheartedly, 'Very thankful to everyone who is paying close attention to me, please continue to look for it in the future.'

Dong Bang Shin Ki's Uknow Yunho (real name Jung Yunho) who was chosen to cast in 'Goong' musical has become a topic, produced in 2010 with highest expectation in musical industry, "Goong - Musical' press conference was held at 2pm on 16th June in Imperial Palace Hotel, Nonhyeon-dong Seoul.

Yunhi was chosen as the lead role in Goong Musical which will begin in September. Yunho who debuted last year as an actor through the drama 'Heading to The Ground', is going to transform into musical cast in "Goong'.

The person in charged of 'Goong' revealed that, 'Yunho's skills in dancing and singing which have been proven through concert and his ability to control the stage, plus his handsome royal-like appearance made him the right person, and has been captivated by his talent and enthusiasm in musical performance.'

Beside Yunho, Kim Dong Ho and RUN were both chosen to take the role of Lee Shin, the role of hot tempered secondary school teenage Shin Chae Kyung was played by Shin Wee Jung.

Apart from that, Prince Lee Yul was played by Lee Chang Hee and Jung Donghwa, Min Hyo Rin was portrayed by So Nyeo Shi Dae's Soo Young's sister Choi Soo Jin as well as Seo Hyun Jin who debuted as singer group MILK.

The unique fantasy plot set in '2010 Republic of Korea is a constitutional monarchy country', which is going to revive as a brand new 2010 musical, bring uncertainty whether it can succeed the great success of the original comic and drama series.

'Goong' musical which attracts lots of attention will begin from 8 September 2010 to 24th October in Seoul's National Museum 'Yong' Theater.

Group TVXQ's Member U-Know Yunho (Jung Yunho), who took a dip in the acting industry has now turned his sights to musicals.

Yunho, who will take on the role of Prince Lee Shin in the musical 'Goong', attended the press conference held on the 16th at the Imperial Palace Hotel and said, "I was worried because this is my first musical, but I think it'll be fine as long as I work hard and do well," and "Musicals mix dance, music, and acting well and have the charm of being able to express human emotions very clearly. I read the comic books and watched the drama, and I will work to make my own unique version of 'Goong'."

Yunho showed attachment to his role when he said, "Lee Shin is a lonely youth who dreams of breaking away from life, and there were times when I myself dreamed the same things during my career," and "Lee Shin and I are similar in that both of us aren't harsh, we're warm and charming. I will get in touch with my inner Lee Shin and get to know the character more."

He also said, "I heard that Junsu embodied his character very well. I want to do well too," and talked about fellow TVXQ member Xiah Junsu, who appeared on stage as a musical actor in 'Mozart!' and received praise for his debut into the industry.

Director Song Byung Joon (representative of Group8) stated, "We will of course go all out for the coronation and wedding scenes, but we will not make it completely serious and rigid; we will add a comical and sweet touch to the musical." He also explained, "We will make this a fusion stage that mixes traditional with modern to show the pains and growth of Lee Shin and his palace life as well as the love that sprouts. We will be adding b-boys to the musical as well to bring a bit of excitement."

The representatives of the musical had previously stated that there were many inquiries about the musical from in and outside of Korea and they were not wrong. On the day of the press conference, numerous Japanese fans swarmed to the location and proved once more how popular Yunho was in Asia.

Starting from 8 September, the musical "Goong" will begin its run. A press conference for this musical was held at the Imperial Palace Hotel on the afternoon of the 16 June.

Yunho, who plays the role of the crown prince Lee Shin, spoke with ambition, saying "I've seen both the manga and drama versions of "Goong," but creatively, musicals are a different genre, so I want to express my own style."

"Since this is the first time I'm challenging a musical, there is pressure, but more than that, I am enjoying and anticipating it," said Yunho. "Musicals are a combination of dancing, singing and acting put together as one to express emotions, and this is its charm. Personally, I enjoyed "Goong" a lot, so I thought this would be a good opportunity," he said, explaining why he decided to take up this role.

Also casted for the role of Lee Shin are actor Kim Dong Ho and singer RUN, and the role of Crown Princess Shin Chae Kyung will be played by Gwak Seon Young and Shin Ui Jung.
